Karting Development Driver Zak Meyer Gets Opportunity with Mazda Motorsports

CFR Karting Team Member and Development Driver, Zak Meyer, has had an amazing week. After running the SKUSA Supernats in Las Vegas, Zak headed to the Mazda Spec MX-5 Shootout at Carolina Motorsports Park. Zak was selected as 1 of 12 finalist for this amazing opportunity. Zak has shown his skills in Karting and wanted to move forward in his racing career with an eye on sports cars. Thanks to the many connections in the Mazda world and the hard work Zak has been putting in, he gets his chance this week. It was a long process to get this opportunity, with interviews, resumes, videos and lots of behind the scenes work by Zak and his family. We could not be more excited to see him and his family get this opportunity. If all pans out, we hope to see Zak be 1 of 3 scholarship winner and progress into running the Spec MX5 Series with Mazda Motorsports. We want to thank everyone who is a part of our family and look forward to helping more young talent for the PNW get their shot at professional racing. We hope to get the chance to interview him once he is home a can debrief on all that has taken place in his journeys over the last few weeks.
